Google investing in startups centered around Google Assistant

Google’s version of an A.I. assistant has been a success in the masses. Known simply as Google Assistant, people praise its abilities and the tasks it can do just by the voice of your command.

Now, Google is looking into furthering it’s functionalities by supporting startups that are directly working towards the assistant. It’s new investment program will provide financial support to the companies and possibly give early access to new features and devices, and access to Google Cloud Platform. Apart from that, Google will also help them in advertising.

Companies will receive feedback and advice all the way from engineers to product managers. Currently, 4 companies and signed up as partners, and more can by applying online. Right now Google has not disclosed the amount of money companies would be receiving.

“We’re opening a new investment program for early-stage startups that share our passion for the digital assistant ecosystem, helping to push new ideas forward and advance the possibilities of what digital assistants can do,” wrote Nick Fox, VP of search and Google Assistant

It’s a nice initiative from Google to support the startup culture, and internally focus on other things while letting other companies build things for you.
